I went to Italy! Can you believe it? Its been a few weeks since I’ve touched backed down in the US now and I still can’t believe I got to go. The vast amounts of culture all concentrated into a country of that size is outstanding. To walk on the same stone streets as the true masters of their time, like Michelangelo and Da Vinci, is a dream come true.
|| The Journey ||
It started around 5 pm with a trip to Boston International Airport to catch our first flight.
Destination #1… Frankfurt, Germany.
We were only in Frankfurt for a very short amount of time before our connecting flight to Venice.
From the Airport in Venice, which oddly one does not have to go through customs before leaving the airport, which I was expecting, we took a water taxi to our apartment for the few days we were staying in Venice.
Out apartment was the cutest little thing. It was a split story apartment, with the bedrooms on the bottom floor and the kitchen and living/dining room slightly above them.
We stayed in the floating city of venice for a little over 3 days, visiting all the museums we possibly could, taking a boat tour out to the surrounding Islands, which may have been my favorite part of the time we spent in Venice.
Below are some pictures from the time we spent in Venice as well as a vlog of the first day in Venice. Watch out for more blog posts and vlogs of the trip in the next few weeks,
I hope you enjoy!
